All wine orders must be placed by a person 21 years of age or older. For your protection, verification of age is required at the time of delivery. We recommend use of a commercial address to facilitate delivery of your purchase. Wine will not be delivered to a visibly intoxicated person. Failure to produce age verification forfeits the right to receive the shipment until identification is produced. In such circumstances, the order may be held in storage at a local depot of the shipping company until appropriate identification is produced, or it may be shipped back to the winery. All associated costs will be the responsibility of and be charged to the customer.
Benefits of Using a Commercial Delivery Address
We strongly encourage you to provide us, whenever possible, with a commercial address for the delivery of your order. Having your order shipped to your work address provide all the following benefits:
- Wine orders require the signature of an adult.
- Your Order May Arrive Earlier – FedEx Commercial Address Deliveries for all levels of service typically arrive earlier in the day than at residential addresses.
- You Won't Need to Worry About Missed Delivery Attempts -
- All deliveries will occur before 4:30 p.m. on a business day.
- You Will Experience Fewer Driver Errors -
- FedEx drivers know their commercial routes like the back of their hands (if not better). Fewer driver delivery errors occur with deliveries to commercial addresses.
- Your Orders Won't Be Left Un-Attended
- FedEx Drivers make a judgment call as to the relative security of your packages left on front porches and similar locations. A work address eliminates are possible problems with package theft or damaged.
Wine is a Delicate Commodity
Wine does not like extremes of temperature: hot humid summer and cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. Vintage and Fine Wines is not responsible for and will not replace wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment. When your wine order is picked up by the common carrier for delivery, responsibility for the wine becomes the responsibility of the purchaser.
States Authorized for Direct Shipment
We are currently only able to ship to CA. Please check back as we will expand to other states in the future.
The First Step - Item Availability and Processing Time
Once you submit your order, you will receive an email with an estimated shipment delivery time. Most items will ship within two to three business days. Some items must be ordered from our warehouse and can take up to 7-10 business days to ship.
SHIPPING SCHEDULE AND CHARGES
FedEx Ground is our carrier of choice. Ground shipping is provided at current market rates. Shipping & Handling charges are calculated based on the total weight of your order. Shipping will be calculated on the Order Verification Page, before you check out. Currently, we do not ship outside California.
Standard Ground Shipping
Orders shipped Ground will typically arrive 1-2 business days after the order leaves our facility.
We will automatically add insurance to each order placed online. This covers any package lost or damaged in transit.

Multiple Delivery Attempts
If no one is available to receive the package and it cannot be left in a secure location, two subsequent attempts to deliver will be made. Wine orders required an adult signature, so whenever possible, we strongly encourage you to use a commercial business address to assure the fastest delivery time.
Credit Card Charges
When an order is returned to our facility by the carrier after several delivery attempts, we are happy to reship the order. Just Contact Us and we will assist you with the arrangements.
Please note: If your order return was not due to an error on part of the carrier or (us), we will charge our standard rate to cover the costs of reshipping. Orders are by credit card only. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
No minimum purchase is required.
RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS
We will replace or refund any bottle of wine that is corked [TCA] or flawed. We ask the customer to return the unfinished portion of the original bottle for replacement. By law, we cannot accept returns of alcoholic beverages unless the product is corked [TCA] or flawed. We are also unable to accept return of wine that was damaged due to adverse weather conditions during shipment, or wine that is ordered in error. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange for the return of damaged or flawed product. No returns are accepted after 60 days from delivery.
Policy on Breakage
It is wise to check the cartons while the carrier's driver is present, during delivery; it only takes a minute to see if there was any breakage. Get the driver to record the breakage/damage. If a shipment is damaged in transit and damages have been noted by the carrier, the purchaser is to contact us via email at email@example.com
and report the loss. Please provide us with the ORDER NUMBER that was recorded at time of purchase. We will replace the damaged goods at no charge to the purchaser once the carrier confirms that the goods were damaged; under no circumstances should the purchaser initiate any Claim Filing with FedEx (this will be done by the shipper). FedEx can only reimburse the authorized shipper account.
Once the returned wine is received, we will refund your credit card account for the cost of the wine including shipping and handling. If the original shipment was damaged or flawed you will receive a full refund, including shipping and handling charges.
An order can only be canceled before it has been shipped. Email firstname.lastname@example.org
requesting cancellation prior to notification of your product being shipped. Orders may not be cancelled once they have been shipped. If, however the wine has been shipped the Return Policy above applies.
A 15% restocking fee will be applied to all canceled orders.
